Who this notice is for
This notice explains how the Fatty Liver Meal Planner website handles information when you browse the site, when optional Google Analytics is enabled, and when advertising is served through Google AdSense.
Analytics is optional
Google Analytics 4 is configured with measurement ID G-2Y3M00SVYL. The Analytics tag is blocked by default and is loaded only after you choose Accept analytics. If you reject analytics, the tag does not load on the page.
When Analytics is enabled, Google's default implementation may collect information such as session statistics, approximate location, browser/device information and page interactions. We use that information to understand how the website is used and improve it.
Advertising and Google AdSense
Content pages can use Google AdSense (publisher ca-pub-7324032854072847) to fund the site. The AdSense code is intentionally not loaded on the interactive tools or on privacy, cookie, medical-disclaimer and other trust/legal pages.
For visitors in the UK, EEA and Switzerland, advertising consent must be handled through a Google-certified consent management platform (CMP) configured for this site in AdSense. Google may process device, browser, IP-address and advertising-related information according to the choices made in that consent message and the applicable AdSense settings.
What we store on your device
We store one local browser preference, flmp_cookie_consent_v1, so the site can remember whether you accepted or rejected analytics. It expires in our code after 180 days, or earlier if you clear your browser storage. This preference is used only to honour your cookie choice.

Why information is used

The hosting provider processes technical request information such as IP address, browser information and request timing where needed to deliver, secure and troubleshoot the website.

Health information
This site provides general information and is not designed to collect medical records or sensitive health information. Do not send diagnosis details, test results or other special-category health data through any future general contact feature unless that feature expressly explains why the information is needed and how it will be protected.

Where advertising is enabled, Google processes information in connection with AdSense subject to the advertising consent choices and account settings described above. The hosting provider processes technical data required to deliver and secure the site. We do not sell visitor data.
Your choices and rights
You can reject or withdraw Analytics at any time through . Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law also gives rights over personal data, including access, correction, erasure, restriction and objection. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office.
Retention and review
The local Analytics consent preference is set to expire after 180 days. Google Analytics cookie defaults are described in our Cookie notice, while Google's advertising storage and retention practices are governed by the AdSense settings and consent choices that apply to the visitor. This notice is reviewed when the site's technology or data use changes.
